Breakout session 4a: Getting (slightly) technical – an introduction to linking

As it was described as only slightly technical I had hoped my final briefing session on linking would be a relatively easy way to finish off the conference. However, I was wrong. Ross gave a brief description of how the internet works which can be written on the back of a beer mat, and he had the beer mat to prove it. He went on to describe static links, predictable links and other linking mechanisms including how link resolvers such as WebBridge uses an open URL and query to match to resources available.
